

Nicolle Arbelaez Lopez, Psy.D.
Dr. Nicolle Arbelaez Lopez is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist currently practicing in South Florida.She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and both her master's and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University.She completed her doctoral internship at Southern Illinois University’s Counseling Center and her post doctoral residency at The Renfrew Center of South Florida.
From May 2006-May 2008, Dr. Arbelaez Lopez was an Out-Patient Psychologist at The Renfrew Center of South Florida, the country’s first residential treatment facility for woman with eating disorders. While there, she was an integral part of the multidisciplinary treatment team, conducted individual and family therapy, and she lead a Mealtime Support Therapy group as well as an Interpersonal Relationships group, part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Dr. Arbelaez Lopez has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. She works with clients with a variety of diagnoses and issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, separation, loss, divorce issues, identity problems and communication difficulties.In addition, she specializes in the treatment of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder), relationship issues, trauma issues and substance abuse.
Dr. Arbelaez Lopez is the Vice President for the South Florida Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
She is a professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Florida Psychological Association (FPA), International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), and the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). Dr. Arbelaez Lopez was also an adjunct professor at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida.
